the monochrome tones and the beautiful greens that we see in every single room

perfect inspiration on how to create a warm domestic atmosphere

Snor festival

photos elvs

Yesterday I have visited the Snorfestival where I was invited
to join a meeting with a lot of fellow bloggers at the bloggerscafe and I really
had a fantastic day at this very creative family evenent!

Like I said last week the snorfestival is a lifestyle event
where you can find inspiration in many senses and I yes I really found it!
The cosy atmosphere is very inviting to walk around and to
discover and admire everything you come across..

After a nice cup of coffee and the most delicious cake made by
Madame Charlotte at the bloggerscafe (the yurt of our host Kirsten Jassieswe started
the day with the launch of the new book of Anki Wijnen (Zilverblauw) called Shoot!
Shoot! is a book that learns us all about photography in a simple way
without the use of difficult words and technical jargon and ofcourse
with the most beautiful (interior nature and lifestyle) photos made by Anki.

After the launch we continued the day by visiting the bookmarket and other stands
but also by meeting so much nice inspiring people, having lot's of fun, admiring the creative
workshops (from knotting a simple plant hanger to learning how to become
a human beatbox) and listening to the music while enjoying some good food and nice drinks.
At the end of the day we all shared the same feeling...
it was such fun!

Thank you so much for a great day:
for your hospitality, great books, amazing food, fun and inspiration

already was inspired by a sneakpeek of the coverphoto
of the latest issue of Elle decoration UK a few weeks ago,
when I discovered and admired some more stunning photos
of their latest collaboration on their websites...

just love the work of talented
stylist Saša Antić and photographer Kristofer Johnsson
see more photos here and here

wish you all a happy and a fab weekend!

minimalist art

I really like visiting the lithuanian site of Llamas'valley
to read the latest news short news and to be inspired by
their post about interior design, fashion, art and food

Yesterday I was intriqued by the beautiful minimalist paintings
from the series "Rome" by British artist Roni Stretch
At first side they look like crumple paper sheets in frames...
but in fact they are real masterpieces
with a used palette of shades from white to gray
to completely dark black but also with some colourful works

find all about the work of Roni Stretch here and discover his very varied art collection

styling love

already saw a sneakpeek of the equipment at instagram this week
this stunning apartment in Stockholm
caught my eye straight away
when I visited the Fantastic Frank this morning

just love the tastefull and creative styling (these still-lifes),
the natural colours and soft tones in contrast with the subtile black touch ,
the great eye catching details and the warm atmosphere...

Inspired again by the great work of talented stylist Josefin Haag

nature inside - KUBU chair

photos elvs

I really like the ongoing natural trend that we see more and more...
a lot of greens, wood, bamboo, wicker baskets and other natural materials
such a great idea... Bringing the outdoor in!

So when dutch online store FONQ.nl asked me if I was interested in making a review
about the Dutchbone Kubu chair it also was a great chance to update
and redecorate my living room! I thought my minimalistic home could use
a touch of nature and experimenting with how to bring more nature in my home and
to create a warm atmospere for this coming Autumn is always a good idea!

The natural look and feel of Dutchbone Kubu is what makes this handicraft chair so special!
The rattan material is wrapped around the black, iron frame and that
beautiful combination gives the chair also a stylish industrial look.

I love simplicity and by making a moodboard with a few beautiful
green leaves from my garden and some stunning photos of my favourite
fashion magazines I started to create a little urban jungle on my kitchenwall.
The added fresh green plants on the bench in the livingroom
completed my version of bringing more of nature inside my monochrome home!

Really love the fact that adding only a few new (natural) details
really made the difference... did you already brought some nature inside?

this post is made in collaboration with FONQ.nl a dutch contemporary online store with more than 40.000  colorful and special products
that make life just a little more fun with unique gift and design products and a wide range in terms of living, cooking and garden.
